Composite doors in Truro

Front doors, back doors and stable doors for Truro homes, measured, quoted and fitted by me. One man, no salesmen and no subcontractors, from your first call to the final fit.

Doors for Truro homes

Truro has a bit of everything: Georgian and Victorian terraces in the city centre, solid stone cottages in the villages around it, and newer estates out at Threemilestone and Kenwyn. A door that looks right on a modern semi can look all wrong on a period terrace, so I’ll help you pick a style that suits the house as well as your budget.

Period homes usually suit a classic panelled door in a heritage colour like black, deep blue or green, often with a traditional knocker and letterplate. Newer homes can carry off something more contemporary, with a long bar handle and slim glazing.

Worth knowing before you choose

  • Parts of Truro city centre are in a conservation area. If your home is listed or in one, it’s worth checking with Cornwall Council before changing a front door. I’ll talk you through it at the survey.
  • Terraced streets often mean tight access and no driveway. I plan around parking and access so fitting day runs smoothly.
  • Want a different colour inside and out? Most of the doors I fit can do that, so the hallway side can match your décor.

The doors I fit

I fit four UK-made composite door brands, so you get real choice: Barbican for almost any colour you can name, Comp Door for exposed, weather-beaten spots, Door-Stop for top-rated locks and smart options, and Solidor for designer styles. Every one is Secured by Design as standard.
